چکیده
Methanol extract of Knobweed (Hyptis capitata) root has cytotoxic activity on WiDr cells, but the mechanism its anticancer action as well secondary metabolite contents have not been further explored. This study aimed to roots H. capitata by a graded maceration, using absolute chloroform and methanol. was used for subsequent assays trace anti-cancer action. Tests carried out include doubling time test with 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide an apoptosis Annexin V-PI Flow cytometry method. The content identified Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). results showed that, methanol treatment caused morphological changes cells. Moreover, suppressed cellular proliferation, indicating that it can provide anti-proliferation effect. Furthermore, at IC50 2IC50 65.45% 97.6% cells respectively. These proved methanolic properties ability trigger Phytochemical compounds might play role anti-cancer, among others chatecol, 9-hexadecanoic acid, hexadecanoid acid-ethyl ester, methyl stearate, ferruginol, retinoic campesterol, stigmasterol ?-sitosterol.

Plants and plant derived products exert chemopreventive effects on various cancer cell lines by the induction of cell death mechanisms. The effects of root acetone extract of Rubus fairholmianus (RFRA) on the proliferation of human colorectal cancer (Caco-2) cells have been investigated in this study. The extract led to a dose dependent decrease in both viability and proliferation and increased...
